Back in the days
* in 1896 Jørgensen &
Stilling and Petersen & Matzendecided to merge their firms together and founded theAarhus Trælasthandel April 23.
* 1908 Aarhus Trælasthandel added its first subsidiary establishment Odder Trælasthandel. * 1918 Ten years later The group opens a department in Copenhagen and changes its name to DDT A/S
* 1968 First Silvan opens in Slagelse.
* 1989 Expansion to Sweden with the acquisition of Beijer Byggmaterial.
* 1996 The group is renamed to Danske Trælast A/S
* 1997 Expansion to Norway with the acquisition of Neumann Bygg.
* 2000 Expansion to Finland with the acquisition of Starkki.
* 2006 Danske Trælast A/S changes its name to DT Group A/S.
The Group's activities are organised in two main areas.
* The first is builders' merchants and DIY stores. such as Cheapy in Sweden (DIY Store) and Stark in Denmark. (Builders merchants)
* The second area in which DT Group operates is the plumbing and heating industry in the Central European market. DT Group has 431 Stores with 8.321 employees in 14 countries 2011.
