Over the years, since mobile gaming has continued its massive explosion in popularity, video games that are tied into popular movies or television shows usually get a bad rep right off the bat and in some cases, they should. So when Electronic Arts announced in 2013 another Simpsons video game, this one entitled The Simpsons Tapped Out cheats, some people were curious as to how good a Cityville-type game would fair amongst the rest.
The results exceeded all expectations of the developer and the gamer. And since then, the game has continued to surge in popularity in the mobile gaming market. In fact, on some gaming review websites, the game has garnered the highest of ratings. So lets take a look at what makes this game so catchy and popular.
The Simple Premise
Whether you are an actual fan of The Simpsons or not, youll definitely enjoy the clever, tounge-in-cheek premise of the game. Well keep it simple Homer decides to play a game on his tablet that is similar to our old favorite game - Farmville. He gets so engrossed in his game that he does not notice that Springfield is physically being destroyed by a nuclear meltdown. Homer (and you) are now tasked with building Springfield back up again and finding all of the Springfields missing citizens.
Visuals and Audio
The visuals in The Simpsons Tapped Out cheats are just like youd see on a normal Simpsons episode, except this time, you are viewing Springfield isometrically, similarly to Zynga-type mobile games like Farmville and Cityville. Getting a good look in-between buildings can be awkward at times due to the weird angles, but its manageable.
Audio-wise, it doesnt offer much to write home about, but it gets the job done for the simplicity of the game. Admittedly, it does get a little annoying having Homer constantly yell things at you, so at times, I play the game on silent.
Quite simply, if you have played any Zynga game, and liked it, then there shouldnt be any reason why you wouldnt like this title as well. As we mentioned before, it is quite similar to Cityville and Farmville. While stupid, and at times not as funny as youd like it to be, you will still find yourself checking in on your new Springfield three to four times a day micromanaging every single detail.
The Simpsons Tapped Out does not offer anything new to the free-world, touchscreen play genre of games that are out there, and you can easily find better, higher quality games to play. But it is The Simpsons Tapped Out cheats, and if you are a fan of The Simpsons then youll definitely enjoy seeing the familiar faces and hearing the familiar voices that youve grown to love over the past twenty years. Score: A+
