Celebrate The Royal Wedding At Home With Authentic English Fare, Pt. 4

In our hectic lives there is very little time to be creative when it comes to cooking on a daily basis. When do you get the time to peruse all those glorious cook books and glossy magazines for new ideas? With a little clever meal planning, you can put a new meal on the table every day of the month. This saves your time, money and your sanity!

The good news is that I don't drink coffee or eat sweets, and I'm not eating Big Macs every day so my diet isn't that unhealthy. In fact, almost half of my meals are vegetarian, but I still seem to find the thought of never again enjoying a perfect burger or a tuna sandwich too extreme somehow. If I could find a vegetarian substitute that tasted as good as slow cooked slow cooked leg of lamb bone in beef, I would definitely go all veg for good.

America is discovering the truth the hard way, "there is no such thing as a free lunch." Whatever happened to delayed gratification? Most children today have been deceived into believing they deserve everything their parents have, and want it now! I wonder who taught them that lie from the pits slow cooked leg of lamb hell? I think it started with the commercials on TeleTubbies, and they were not directed at the parents.

My final meal centered on chicken stew with potatoes, onions, chickpeas, and crushed tomatoes. I tasted dark cherries but there was a definite flatness, now the drink's acidity was less than optimal. Its tannins were pleasant. This wine was multilayered and it rebounded with the fixings. Once again, I enjoyed a side dish of green beans and crushed tomatoes. It rendered the Tishbi powerful, tasting slow cooker leg of lamb dark chocolate.

Then from California we have Knights Valleys Beringer Cabernet Sauvignon. This wine has a ruby color and aromas of cocoa, black currant, black cherry and cedar. It is great with a variety of roasts leg of lamb amount per person sells for a hefty $45 a bottle. Yes, this is one very fine wine.
